The well in the middle of the building is redecorated into a modern-looking fundraising box made of glass. Head to Gaomei Wetlands, a large mud tidal flat on the coast of Taichung City. Stroll along the 800-meter dock and out onto the sand beyond it to spot migratory birds, mudskippers, crabs, and other invertebrates. It is also famous for its stunning sunsets punctuated by silhouettes of huge coastal wind turbines. Return back to hotel. Overnight in Taichung.
