Option 1: Taipei Classical Tour (Mon / Wed / Fri / Sat)
Make your own way to the meeting point at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station (Exit 2). You will be picked up at 0800hrs and depart to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It is a national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. The monument, surrounded by a park, stands at the east end of Memorial Hall Square. Next, visit the Presidential Office Building before heading to Taipei Grand Hotel for a photo stop. Afterwards, visit the Martyrs Shrine and National Palace Museum. National Palace Museum has a permanent collection of nearly 700,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts and artworks, the majority of which were moved from the Palace Museum in the Forbidden City, Beijing. You will be dismissed at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station at 1200hrs. Make your own way to the hotel. Overnight in Taipei.
Option 2: Pingxi Sky Lantern & Shifen Waterfall (Mon / Wed / Fri / Sat)
Make your own way to the meeting point at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station (Exit 2). You will be picked up at 1300hrs and depart to Shifen Old Street. Shifen Old Street is a bustling hub for those eager to get a glimpse of an old railroad town which still retains the charm of yesteryear. Originally built to transport coal, the Shifen Old Street stop has now become one of the most popular on the Pingxi rail-line. One the popular activity is releasing the sky lantern; you will be able to write your wishes on the lantern before igniting and releasing it to the sky. Next, visit the Shifen Waterfall. Torrents of water thunder down this curtain-type fall like a white satin sheet. As the water plunges into the large, deep pool beneath, it raises mists that often enshroud the falls. On sunny days, the mists paint dazzling rainbows in the blue skies: a sight that has earned the waterfall pool the nickname of “Rainbow Pond.” Because its bedrock slopes in the opposite direction of the water flow, Shifen Waterfall is a cascade-type waterfall similar to North America’s Niagara Falls, earning it the nickname of “Taiwan’s Niagara Falls.” You will then transfer to Xinyi shopping district before being dismissed at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station. Make your own way to the hotel. Overnight in Taipei.
Option 3: Yehliu Geopark and Keelung Harbour (Tue / Thu / Sat / Sun)
Make your own way to the meeting point at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station (Exit 2). You will be picked up at 0800hrs and depart to Keelung and visit the Chung Cheng Park, Maritime Plaza and Guihou Fishing Harbor. Afterwards, visit Yehliu Geopark – a geo park shape by nature in the wind over millions of years. The nature shape sandstone structure has some very interesting resemblance in the like of the Queen’s head, mushroom, ice cream, etc. You will then transfer to Xinyi shopping district before being dismissed at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station. Make your own way to the hotel. Overnight in Taipei.
Option 4: Jiufen Village and Northeast Coast Tour (Daily)
Make your own way to the meeting point at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station (Exit 2). You will be picked up at 1300hrs and depart to Nanya. It is the northernmost tourist site in the scenic area. Noted for its fantastic rock formations and sea-eroded coral shore. The entire coastline here is a veritable sculpture garden that illustrates, in stone, the incomparable artistry of weathering and wave action. Pass by the Bay of Two Colors before heading to Remains of the 13 Levels for a photo stop. It is also called the Benefication and Refinery Plant of Shuinan Cave. It was built in 1933 and was a very important facility for the beneficiation and extraction of precious metals during the Japanese occupation period. Next, head to Jiufen Village. The village once was gold city of Asia and called little Shanghai or little Hong Kong. Now, there are many unique teahouses in Jiufen. These teahouses are best stops during visit to this mountain village. You will then transfer to Xinyi shopping district before being dismissed at MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng station at 1200hrs. Make your own way to the hotel. Overnight in Taipei.
